It can be combined with an inner ring , where the shaft cannot be hardened and ground.
The needle roller bearing can accommodate axial loads in one direction and, therefore, locate the shaft in one direction only.
The combined bearings can be mounted back-to-back, for short shafts and where changes in length due to thermal expansion are relatively minor.
NKX series bearings with a cage consist of a radial needle roller bearing and a thrust ball bearing with a ball and cage thrust assembly identical to the 511 series.
This bearing permit relatively high-speed operation and located axially in one direction by the outer ring flange.
It can be mounted separately from both the ball and cage assembly and shaft washer.
This series bearing should be oil lubricated, as there is no cover that retains the grease in the bearing,it have no stamped steel cover, as standard.
