Reason for invalidation
Approximately 40% of failed miniature deep groove ball bearings are caused by contamination by dust, dirt, debris and corrosion. Contamination is often caused by incorrect use and poor use environment, and it can also cause problems with torque and noise. Miniature bearing failures caused by environmental and pollution are preventable and can be identified by simple visual observation. As long as they are properly used and installed, corrosion of miniature bearings can be easily avoided. Ablation is characterized by indentations on the raceways of the miniature bearing rings due to shock loads or incorrect installation. Ablation usually occurs when the load exceeds the yield limit of the material. Erosion can also occur if it is not installed correctly and a load crosses the miniature ring. The pressure pits on the miniature bearing rings also generate noise, vibration and additional torque.
