All-steel bearings
All-steel bearings refer to rolling bearings in which both the bearing rings and rolling elements are made of bearing steel. Bearing steel, also known as high-carbon chromium steel, contains approximately 1% carbon (Wc) and 0.5%-1.65% chromium (Wcr). Bearing steel is further classified into six main categories: high-carbon chromium bearing steel, chromium-free bearing steel, carburized bearing steel, stainless bearing steel, medium-high temperature bearing steel, and antimagnetic bearing steel.
It possesses high load-bearing capacity, high wear resistance, and high compressive strength, making it the most widely used basic component in industrial manufacturing, machine tool spindles, and mechanical transmissions.
1. Long lifespan and wear resistance – The fatigue life of all-ceramic bearings is expected to be 10-50 times longer than that of all-steel bearings, and the lifespan of hybrid ceramic bearings is also about 3-5 times longer than that of all-steel bearings;
2. High speed and acceleration capability – They can operate under conditions where the dn value exceeds 3 million, and slippage, wear, and heat generation are all reduced;
3. Corrosion resistance – Because ceramic materials are inert, they are more resistant to corrosion and wear;
4. Minimal lubrication required – Ceramic materials have a low coefficient of friction. Even with oil-lubricated ceramic bearings, their lubrication capacity is still no less than that of traditional lubricants commonly used in steel bearings, even when the lubricating oil becomes thinner or less abundant;
5. High temperature resistance – All-ceramic bearings can withstand temperatures up to 500°C. 6. High rigidity – Due to the high elastic modulus of ceramic materials, its rigidity is 15-20% greater than that of ordinary steel bearings;
7. Low torque – Depending on the structure, the torque of ceramic bearings is reduced by about 1/3;
8.Non-magnetic and non-conductive – Ceramic bearings are unaffected by magnetic or electrical damage.
