Identification of Non-Standard Bearing Codes

Non-standard bearings refer to bearings whose dimensions, structure, precision, or technical requirements do not conform to national standards (GB/T). They are usually custom-made based on customer drawings. Their characteristics include low versatility, primary use in special equipment or high-precision applications (such as medical devices and special motors), and a large number of research and development trial products. Due to small batch sizes, their production costs and prices are typically higher than standard bearings.

For some bearings, those whose inner diameter or outer diameter width (height) does not conform to the relevant international standards are called non-standard bearings. The code for a non-standard bearing consists of a basic code, a preliminary code, and a standard code. The basic code consists of two parts: the model code and the dimension representing the basic size of the bearing.

1. Size Series Code

There are two methods to represent the size series code.

1) The outer diameter or width dimension of a non-standard bearing is usually identified using the diameter series or width series closest to the standard, and the letters X1, X2, X3 are added after the basic code.

2) The inner diameter, outer diameter, and width of a non-standard bearing cannot be compared with the standard size series, so they are represented as indefinite numbers.

2. Inner Diameter Code

The inner diameter dimension code is represented as follows: for diameters below 500mm, an integer divisible by 5 is used, and the quotient is divided by 5 to represent its code. Other dimensions are expressed directly as the actual inner diameter in millimeters, but should be separated by "/" using the same size series code.

In addition, non-standard bearings can also be expressed using the characteristic dimensions for fitting installation. Bearing dimensions are expressed as: "/inner diameter * outer diameter * width", with units of actual dimensions in mm.
